Official Update From Mansions Of The Future re: Covid-19

Frank

Hello,

As a commitment to the wellbeing of our staff as well as the volunteers, artists, and the local community, Mansions of the Future will be suspending its Takeover Programme until further notice and making informed decisions on each of the upcoming talks, workshops and events in our Public Programme.

With over 70 community groups regularly using the space, the team are working hard to communicate this decision and support those concerned, please bear with us and thank you in advance for your patience. This decision will come into immediate affect to minimise risk, but the team hopes that this will only be a temporary measure. The situation will be reviewed on the 15th April and all future bookings will remain in the calendar, so that these can be honoured when we resume the Takeover Programme.

In acknowledgment of the impact, the global situation has on the sector and in particular precariously positioned freelancers, we will be supporting all artists who have been written into our Spring/Summer programme; honouring agreed fees wherever possible and rescheduling if/when possible.

We acknowledge the impact that this decision will have on many of you who host regular groups. The team will be working hard to support those affected. We remain calm and pragmatic and encourage you all to do so, but feel this decision is a necessary and responsible precautionary measure.

In response to shortages, we will be collecting toiletries, tinned and dried food for the local food bank at Mansions of the Future on the following dates.

Friday 27th March between 12-6pm

&

Thursday 9th April between 12-6pm

Kind regards,

The Mansions of the Future Team
